Under the leadership of IKV Chairman, Ömer Cihad Vardan, IKV delegation visited Ambassador Aslıhan Üğdül, Director General of Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. IKV Secretary General Assoc. Prof Çiğdem Nas and Deputy Secretary General and Research Director Melih Özsöz also attended the meeting which was held on 7th July 2014 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara.

During this meeting, the latest developments on Turkey-EU relations were mainly discussed. IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan gave information to Ambassador Üğdül on the activities carried out by IKV. He further expressed his wish to enhance cooperation between IKV and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs particularly in regards to Turkey-EU accession negotiations and to the visa issue, Readmission Agreement, free trade agreements and civil society dialogue.

Amabassador Üğdül congratulated Vardan for his   presidency and wished him success in his future endeavours. Pointing out to the important role played by IKV in Turkey-EU relations, she also expressed her wish to further enhance cooperation with IKV.
