IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan visited Minister of Economy, Nihat Zeybekçi on the 17th June 2014. Minister Zeybekçi congratulated IKV Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan for his nomination and wished for his successful endeavours in this new term.

During the meeting, Minister Zeybekçi shared his point of view regarding the revision of the Customs Union. Pointing out to the fact that the world trading system is reshaping, Minister Zeybekçi ensured that Turkey will well adapt to this new environment.  Minister Zeybekçi explained that during this process, the Ministry of Economy attached a particular importance in enhancing cooperation with NGOs.

During the meeting, IKV Chairman Vardan gave information on the aims, activities and projects carried out by IKV since its establishment in 1965. Vardan also informed about the newly established FTA Information and Capacity-Building Center by IKV and explained that with this center, it was aimed to better monitor the developments occurring in regard to the FTAs.
