IKV Deputy Secretary General and Research Director, Melih Özsöz, gave a presentation entitled “The Journey to Europe without Visa for Turkish Citizens” during a panel on “EU-Turkey Readmission Agreement and Visa Liberalization” co-organized by Marmara University Faculty of Law and Istanbul Bar Association.

During the panel chaired by the Secretary General of Istanbul Bar Association, Att. Hüseyin Özbek; Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law of Lefke European University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Poroy and Faculty Member of Bilgi University’s Faculty of Law, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lami Bertan Tokuzlu tackled the legal dimensions of Turkey-EU Readmission Agreement signed in December 2013.

IKV Deputy Secretary General also attended a panel entitled “Where does the EU-Turkey Relationship Headed in the 50th Year of their Partnership?” co-organized by the Akdeniz University’s Center for EU Research and Application (AKVAM) and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the Akdeniz University. Melih Özsöz gave a presentation entitled “The Journey to Europe without visa for Turkish Citizens” where he retraced the developments in the visa obligations for Turkish citizens since the signature of the Readmission Agreement.

At the panel chaired by the Director of the Akdeniz University’s Center for EU Research and Application, Prof. Dr. Erol Esen; Honorable Former Ambassador, Cem Duna, gave a presentation entitled “Cyprus and the Accession Process” whilst the expert from the Ministry of the EU, Zerrin Keskin gave a presentation on the “Communication Strategies of the EU and the Impacts of the EU Harmonization Process on Everyday Life”.
